This restaurant is recommended by Alfonso. Of cause, he should do some homework for today special :p Limited parking.... and simple setting of the restaurant... but the price is 5 star hotel for me.

Their menu is not fixed. So regular customer can try something different.

Roasted pumpkin soup with 1 scallop on top, RM32 (!!!) Taste: normal. base on this price, it should amaze me. Anyway, the scallop is fresh and nice. Bread is complimentary. Actually, Alfonso wanted to try their saute clam soup but today no clam supply :(

Caesar Salad, RM28. We overheard the customer sit next table ordering this and said he come for this. So we also order one. Well, taste is not bad. Again, base on the price, it should add some chicken slices like other restaurant does.

Linguine, RM42. Taste is nice and special. Just I do not like the flat shape spaghetti.

Chicken Paillard, RM32. Taste is nice. Maybe I do like to eat chicken breast, else I will very enjoy it. Anyway, I like their mash potato, it is very nice!

Gratin Sabayone, RM24. Does it looks like steamed egg? Haha... it is ice-cream! Ice-cream + custard + strawberries + chocolate powder -> medium baked. It is very special for me. Very nice!

Woohooo~ sweating... Luckily no government tax. Too pricey for me.

At first, only 2 tables are occupied including us. I thought not many people will visit this restaurant since limited parking, simple setting and pricey. Well, it is full house!

As what I requested, I do not need a whole cake... Simple 3 pieces "layer" cakes that he given me. (They were not cheap, RM10 per piece. A bit regret, buy a whole 1/2kg normal cake is worth than this.)

Surprise! Simple nice.

No intend to have any gift because I have no ideal what I want. Few days ago, there has a Kinohimitsu road show in QB Mall. I stopped by and take a look. End up, he bought me this as my b'day gift :)

The taste is nice to drink... just little (30ml if I not mistaken). I felt uncomfortable after drink. Maybe my stomach cannot stand for such concentrated fruits essence... sour~

Bella Marino Restaurant

Every time we go to Strait Quey also notice this restaurant, just do not think to dine in anyway. Today, we walk around and look for any restaurant for dinner. Bella Marino Restaurant, Italian food... we want you tonight!


This restaurant located at the ground floor, west wing of Strait Quay.


This spaghetti very surprise me. I love it very much. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of this spaghetti.


Pizza! Must try pizza if you go for Italian cuisine. Not bad! Again, I forgot the name of this pizza... sorry.


Feel like in Italy!!!

Strawberry Forever Restaurant

New opening in Sg Pinang area there which just next to the Burger King. This is a franchise which existed in Hong Kong and China. This is the 1st franchise opened in Malaysia. They are main on desert but do have main course as well.

As its theme, strawberry + red for its decoration.




We ordered the set lunch in RM15 onwards.
Soup with celery.


Terriyaki Chicken set with rice.


Chicken is nice...


Grilled beef set with rice.


Set lunch includes soup, drink, and main course (+another small bowl of soup).
Taste is OK actually.

Kaffa Cafe@Strait Quay

Yeah... Christmas is coming. Today is Christmas Eve!
What plan do we have? Nope...
How about we go to Strait Quay? Yeah... since we not yet been there before.

Yeah, here it is. New dinning & shopping place in Penang.

We walked around and see what should we have for tonight dinner. Most of the restaurant also only serve with their Christmas set dinner for tonight. Yes, it is more expensive if compare to their daily menu. Wanted to take a Japanese food but we could not find out where it is. OK, let's go to the restaurant which with the 'reasonable' price of Christmas set dinner and less people.

Kaffa Cafe. RM50+ for set dinner. Others... more than hundred ringgit.

They do have Sandwich & Nasi Lemak as their main course in RM50+. Worth it?


Alfonso's main course: Homemade Lamp Shank

Sauce is nice and the lamp shank is soft. This set cost RM60+

I only take very small 2 bite of this. Really not nice or I may say really not in my taste. Wanted to put NO star in my rating actually.

Alfonso can't wait for the Tea out. Paid and leave.
I would say that the service of this restaurant is suck. Staff is nice but no systematic. Since today they only serving set dinner and knew tonight might have many customer.s.. they should able to manage all the thing very well. Drink and food are late to serve. Staffs messed up the order even my bill! Fortunately, it was not bad for us... no long wait for our food. We saw the customers which in front of us were had a long wait. Staffs were not aware even their appetizer/soup is not serving yet. Customers requested to cancel the order and staff there said OK and all is free for them. See, there at least RM400 business in front of them but Kaffa not afford to earn it. Too bad.

After the dinner, we walked around. This is what the Strait Quay look like.
The quay is still under construction. Heard that here will be had a river taxi from/to E&O Hotel.


I saw a lot people holding a ice-cream. Wanted where they bought.
Yeah... here it is. Swensen's Crunchy Cone. Now only at RM9.90!

We bought one and try. Added 10 cent, would have 1 bottle of 500ml mineral water.

OK... let take the picture of your ice-cream with the x'mas tree :)


I guess it is a passion fruit taste.

Kap lui while eating his ice-cream. Bad guy... :p
