Philip Island@Australia - Day 4/8

We started our today journey ~9+am.
Today we will go out of Melbourne city and go to our main destination -> Philip Island which located at the South of Victoria.

Mornington Peninsula

Here has a morning market at every Wednesday.


It is a small town... here is how it looks like... peaceful.


Home made hamburger... AU$4.50... fresh&rich, very nice!


Noodle Box... AU$8.95... Taste just so so but I like the design of the box, very cute.


This is the Pier in this small town. Blue sky, Blue sea... feel good.

Philip Island

On the way to go to the Philip Island. A long the way also can see such green green field. Most of them is farm.

Yeah... heading to the Philip Island... just across the bridge. Looked for the Information Center... coz gonna buy a ticket. We bought a value packet which cost AU$36 which include the entrance of Churchill Island Heritage Farm, Koala Conservation Center and Penguin Parade.

We arrived the Churchill Island Heritage Farm which is a very very small island.

Can't miss such nice scene... we must in.


Inside the farm... green green again... good for my eyes :)






Few demonstrations are showing in certain time. This is one of their demo... milking.











********************** PART 2.2 *********************


Another visiting point, Koala Conservation Centre.

At fist, we felt very disappointed because most of the koala are resting at the top... we very hard to get close with them... can't really see how they look like.

Well... we went to another 'view point'... luckily one of the koala is getting down to look for food. Here also have a baby kangaroo!

Yeah... I was very excited! He just next to me in one feet. Wanted to touch him... hmm... tahan tahan... can't do it.

Right eye of this koala was get infected with one of the bacteria call Chlamydophila. His eye was blind.

This one is healthy... no any infectioin.


No screaming or shout after I saw it :p

Heading to another view point...


Nobbies Boardwalk, no entrance fee needed. This located at west of the Philip Island.


These 'stone' is the signature of Nobbies.




Here also is one of the home of little Penguin. See... their footprint & home (hole).

************************ Part 2.4 ********************

Most exciting program... Penguin Parade. They have different type of sitting. Well, the ticket that we bought is the stardart one... no regret... because it is good enough to see the little penguins back from sea and walk back to their home. No camera/video allowed :(

Those penguins are coming back from sea around 6:30pm... badge by badge... group by group... they will stop and look around before heading forward to thier home... see around... see partner... see leader... ok, clear... go! Some penguins very shy... they went back to the sea and wait for another badge of penguin come back and move back to home together.

What made me feel intereting is... after they back to their home... our broadway is just on top of their home... they not affair anymore... stand there or move freely... walk & make sound to get back to their home. So cute!

*********************** PART 3 **********************

Already 8+pm after the penguin show. We have no idea where to have our dinner. GPS... showing the nearest of restaurant. Just 1 km of Philip Island... we arrived a very small town where most of the shop already clsoed. Well, we just stopped at where restaurant still open.

Thai restaurant... working out by Thai peoples. We ordered 1 tomyam soup and fish pancake. Just 2 dishes? Yes, because the food here is expensive! This dinner already cost us AU$21.80.

We back to the IBIS Hotel@ Melbourne after the dinner. Another 3-4 hours drive.
Well, we looking forward for tomorrow journey -> Yarra Valley.

Melbourne@Australia - Day 3/8

This is where we had been in Victoria. We rent a car and explored by ourselves.

Date: 18 May 2010, Tuesday
Hotel: IBIS Hotel, Melbourne.

Day 1 in Victoria.

We took midnight flight by TigerAirway from Perth to Melbourne. We arrived ~7am. This is their domestic airport. Tell you... What surprised me was their domestic airport very 'lau ya'. We walked to the baggage claim... along the way is build by the wire fence... toilet is like our 'mobile toilet'... It's look like we are the chickens inside the coop... gosh~
Airportrentacar- this is the place that we rent our car. Originally, Alfonso was booking Hyundai i30... but don't know why the boss gave us Nissan Latio, AU$29 per day.

******************* PART 2 **********************

We drove from the airport and followed the GPS drove to the Melbourne City. At first, we were very confuse their parking and traffic system... their parking is base on the time... 15mins, 30mins, 1hour... different place has different duration for you... let's say, if you park at the area which is only allow you to park for 15min... after 15mins, you should move your car away... There has the sign board to showing you how long you can park your car at this area. Same in M'sia, they using the parking meter system.

After took some times, we only managed to understand their parking system and parked our car somewhere near by Federation Square. This is heart of the Melbourne City.

We had no idea where to go since not the time to check in yet... well, we took a walk and look for our breakfast... really... we don't know what we should take... since food here is expensive... eventually, we just simply walked in to one of the Japanese restaurant to have a bowl of hot soup... The food here just so so.. What much we had spent on it... hmm... I think around AU$20+

After breakfast, we walked around the Federation Square.
Top picture: This is the Federation Square which is the art center in Melbourne. A lot peoples are 'lepak' there.
Lower left picture: Can see that? Their parking rate damn expensive!
Lower right picture: This is the one of the old building in front of the Federation Square.

Top: Train station on left side of Federation Square.
Bottom: These are the park behind the Federation Square. Actually they are attached together.
What I can seen is... they have a lot park... is a big park.

This is the Queen Victoria market, famous market in Melbourne. This time we did not explore more in this market because not so familiar the structure. Well, we did come again in our last day. This market is not as big as the market in Bangkok.

********************* PART 4 ********************

Lastly, we can check in and take a rest. This is the IBIS Hotel in Melbourne City. It is a nice hotel with reasonable price. The time that we made a booking was the promotion. So it consider quite cheap if compare to other hotel in the City. AU$208.50 for 4D3N... where AU$69.50 per night. We took a nap until 5PM+... really tired.

~6PM+... sky already getting dark. We walked around the Park which near the Federation Square. Again, it is a very big park. A lot peoples jogging in group and do some exercise here. Can see some of the peoples bringing their dog to jogging together... very healthy.


We taken our dinner here... Claypot King... somewhere near China Town street.


Asian food... Hong Kong?... I heard the Boss is from Singapore. A lot Asian student working at this kind of restaurant.


Walked around.... China Town Street, sound familiar OldTown Kopitiam, funny restaurant name, their cinema...


Feel like I'm in Europe... hehe. Would like to take a ride?


We went to Cole mark bought some foods for tomorrow journey, hehe~

Perth@Australia - Day 2/8

Date: 17 June 2010, Monday
Location: Perth, Australia


We woke up early and took a walk around this area. Air was fresh, sky was blue.... what a lovely day~


There are their house... different style of house... usually, they buy a land and build their own house with their preference style.


Their hypermarkets...


Lotterywest... HUAT ahhh!


We were going for breakfast hunting!


Gragon Palace restaurant... DIM SUM... DIM SUM!
Char Siew Sou... very nice!
They serving this kind of chili sauce, I like this chili rather than Maggi one.


Very rich ingredients inside. All dim sum also very very very nice!!! Even Ipoh FuSan also cannot fight with this. 1st time tasted such good pure dim sum.


Again, all is nice! The PoLo Bao was impressed me. I'm not really to eat Polo Bao because it will make me feel 'ni'... but this one totally won't! It was very nice and soft! I'm so miss the dim sum here...


2 couples.... see what Alfonso doing there... he was naughty.


Went to near by take a walk... State Library, Art Museum & Art Gallary...


Australian kidssss....


Was trying their local ice-cream... too sweet for me.


Welcome to Sandalford Wine @ Perth...
Was end of Summer... grape already got dry which not harvested.


There have a big field... and wine restaurant...

Blue sky Green field.... feel good!




Nest station, perth landmark... Bell Tower. It closed when we arrived... missed the chance to walk up and see the perth view.


Around Bell Tower... close to rive which you may take a booat to the opposite or somewhere interesting place.... it is expensive!


Again, we were in King's Park/Botanical Garden...


Very dry... easy to burn up... seems had been flaming...


The 'board' is to memory the soilder who has been sacrify in war. Only the name... no death body there.... no worry.


Time for Cripin chef to showing his '厨艺＇...


Local potato chip... salted. Lamb ribs & salmon...


Pork sausage , grilled salmon, lamb ribs, kangoroo meat, beef and spagetti...
Wow... Crispin... you are very geng... can cook all of this by your own without our help.

Yummy yummy...
