Route: Lake Tahoe@Carson City (North of CA)
Time: ~4 hours drive from Santa Clara
Along the way, we passed by the capital of CA, Sacramento. There does not has a ‘City look’; just like a Sunnyvale. To Lake Tahoe, we are driving through a up downhill. We saw a power generator area where a lot of the power cables and wind power generators.
Heading to the lake, we saw pine tree along the way to up to the lake. Or I can say that the lake is surrounding by the pine tree. I think of the last time Salem advertisement... look like it firmed it here :)
What we can do in Lake Tahoe? Hiking, picnic, horse riding, camping, beach, boating/cruise, climbing, fishing, water sport, skiing (only in winter)… etc. We only able to explore the south of the lake… from the visitor center >Emerald Bay>Taylor Creek

Took another 4 hours to drive back to San Jose. Go and back were took us total 8 hours... but we just spent total less than 4 hours in Lake Tahor where including eat and drive. Today I saw 'Salem', Lake Tahoe, Nice Sunset.. what else? Is that worth to take 8 hours drive to here?
