Busan - Taejongdae Park (태종대 유원지)

Category:
Scenic Spot

Direction:
Seomyeon (Exit 1)  → bus stop at about 100meter → take Bus 88  → get off at Taejongdae Terminal (last stop)
~1 hour journey.

Altenatives direction:
(a) Metro Line 1 Nampo (Exit 6) → Bus 8, 30, 66, 88 → get off at Taejongdae Terminal
(b) Metro Line 1 Busan station (Exit 7) → Bus 66,88,101 → get off at Taejongdae Terminal

This is where the bus stop. Along the way, you will see the Taejongdae signboard in brown color.

About 150m walk to the entrance.

After another 200m up hill walk (tiring~)... we have arrived a station where to get a ride to round the park.

For the shuttle train, it cost 2,000 won which you may ride unlimited time within a day. There was long queue even though in weekday.

Our 1st stop: Observation Platform.

Cliff at 1st stop

From Observation Platform, walk ~80m... arrived Yeongdo Lighthouse which is the main attraction view point.

"Under the lighthouse of this resort is a rock called Sinseon Rock, named after the myth that gods and goddesses came down here to relax. At this rock is a figure called Mangbuseok, named after the story of a woman who waited for her husband who had been taken to Japan" - visitkorea.or.kr.
I guess this is the rock it mentioned.

This is the route that shuttle train will bring you. We had missed Taewon Pebble Beach, Gumyeongsa Temple and Taejongsa Temple. I would like to go all but my partner not really willing to do so. Why? 1. hot 2. walk a lot 3. not many people get off to that point  4. Hard to get into train because most of time full of people. We had passed by the last station- Taejongsa Temple. It is blossom but need to walk... up hill again.

Worth to go? Hmm... not really.

back to Day 1 - Busan

  1. Hi. I am planning to go to Busan too. Did you stay in Seomyeon? Is it easy to stop the bus stop for Bus 88 to Taejongdae? Thanks :)
