YEA Japanese BBQ&Shabu Shabu Restaurant

Venue: Times Square, Penang
Price: RM48++ per headcount

What do you want to eat on your birthday?... Hmm... Don't know oh... China House or Shabu Shabu? OK, Shabu Shabu.

First time see using "marble" rock to grill. We do not know how to use it in first place. The waiter and waitress there very nice and helpful. They teach us how to grill.

Grilling prawns, oyster and scallops...

Variety of choice for steamboat... they are serving good 'thing' actually. It does not like the normal outside 2in1 steamboat.

Our steamboat... with miso soup... very nice. I like it.

Few type of seasoning is prepared for customer. Some sauces are taken from the salad bar there. Actually, we do not know it. The waiter told us when we grilling the salmon. He helped us to take and told us which sauce is serve for what meat.

Today special... only limited 1 piece per person.

It looks so cute, isn't?

I'm not sure this crab is call what. Hmm... I'm not good to eat crab. Taste normal.

Section: dessert...

Section: Fruits and salad

Section: Hmm... something like smoked and sashimi.

Chocolate fountain. Don't know why, I never try this even thought it just in front of me.

Sauces... this is what I mentioned... sauce for salmon, lamb etc

If you are too hungry and cannot wait for the self-cook dish... here you are... ready cooked dishes.

choice for grill.

Snapper... good thing right? But we did not try...because full already :S

Oyster, scallop, and salmon. Those are the one we spotted at first place.

Ice creammm... not "baliah" one lor~

Another sashimi/smoked stuffs...

Well organize... clean. But some peoples put back the box which they can't finish. If cannot finish don't take so much... don't so greedy. Staff will refill it if they are empty... for non-educated people.

Our rubbish... :p

There have a program showing us how to COOK.

Our bill... look at the food they serve is worth for the price. Unfortunately, we are not a big eater lor~

Sushi Zento

Not sure what is the special date... I requested to have a dinner in this new opening Japanese restaurant at Tg. Tokong (Distinct 88, next to Island Plaza).

Full house when we arrived to the restaurant. Receptionist took our name and phone number, then ask us take a seat and wait for a while. We have a table after waited for 30-45 minutes. We saw some aunties just direct go in the restaurant and sit on the table which customer just left. See their wear nicely and look like educated people... but their act... really no manner, rubbish!

Well, don't spoil our appetizing. We ordered what we usually order in any Japanese restaurant.

Garlic fried rice... NICE! Rate: 5/5

I guess is dragon sushi row. Rate: 3/5

Tempura rice set. Rate: 3/5

Soft shell crab. Rate: 3/5

Aiya... what it call already. I can't recall it. Salted xxx fish. Rate: 4/5. Still fell the one we first time take in Azuma is better.

I will rate this restaurant... hmm... sure better than Sushi King, Sakae... but still not reach the standard of Miruku and Ido Ichi.

The next early morning... before we depart to the air port back to KL-Penang, we must have our last food hunting. Steven Heng recommended this coffee shop which just near by our hotel. This morning having a lightly rain.. but it won't stop us for the food hunting. What food that recommended by Steven Heng? It's their local famous "煮粉".

Stay 1 night in Tawau after visited Sipandan. Of cause, we must have a seafood for tonight! Our leader recommended us this restaurant instead of the restaurant which just next to it... because this one is cheaper and the taste not bad. Well, let's go!

Wasabi?! Are we go for Japanese food? No no no... This is for our ordered 1 of the dish... Lobster sashimi!
