Departed Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) at 11:30AM where 12:30 Malaysia Time. This time I missed to take photo of this airport :-(
In the airplane, only both of us wearing a face mask. They really not worry about the H1N1, even thought mass media did not 报导 it so frequent but it does not mean that this flu already end. Maybe we Kia Si, better wear it... not like last time... we went to SG without wearing face mask. There have temperature screening in the check out point.
Hmm... departure point nothing special. Can't be denied, their wash room is much more better than Penang Internation Airport... Penang, you should review this issue.

We went to the public transportation counter to buy a taxi ticket WITH METER to All Season Bangkok Siam Hotel. Look at the destination... don't understand what they were writing. On duty lady in ticket counter was not what I expected friendly... no thank you, no smiling face...
We holding our ticket and stand beside the road... no one approach us... we stood there for few minutes... wondering how to get our taxi. A man walked toward and show us go to that direction. We saw a lot peoples with same color shirt queued up on our left hand side... we thought they are peoples who queuing up to get a taxi... we trying to pass by them and queue up at their behind... At the mean time, a lady asked for our ticket... I passed to her... then a man from that 'same color shirt group' take us to his taxi... we now only aware that those peoples are the taxi driver... they queqe up to get a customer... I see, I see.
Along the way to the hotel, I can believe that the skill of driver in Bangkok is very 'good'. They can easily drive in 'S' in such peak traffic without giving signal. But on the other hand, we can see that they have "礼让精神". Ya, we just noticed that the taxi that we took was no meter!!! Fortunately, the hotel staff did told me there is around 300 baht - 350 baht. After half an hour, we arrived our hotel and check in. Well, this driver charged us 300 baht... I think is reasonable (?).
I like our room. Everything is ready. What impressed me is the bath room... shampoo & body cream are ready in wet area... out of my expectation. What I can complain is only the air condition. The direction that it installed is not facing to our bed. Even we minimize the temperature and maximize the fan... we also will feel a bit warm after cover blanket.

We met a Tuk Tuk driver when we walking to get BTS. He proposed us a day trip but we rejected because we don't know the fare that he give is reasonable or not. We prefer walk around 1st.
I passed by and saw this sign board... I thought is Public 'BANK'... my eyes starting blur already under such hot sunny day.
Walking to BTS... I saw this. I would like to buy and try. What stopped me is... she made it beside the main road... so dusty.
Took this from upper 人行道 of Victory Monument BTS station. Actually what impressed me is their... hmm... how to say... I like they build the 人行道 along the way of the BTS station. You can take a look in Siam Station. Huge 人行道 bring you across all the shopping mall. So it looks like peoples are walking at the middle of the air and all car is running on the ground. Safety! Anyhow, their road is very wide! Can see that? Some area specified the lane only for public bus.
BTS ticket. Actually their train and the system is same like Malaysia LRT. Even the train's design is same. Only they have a mini LCT showing advertisement in every partition of the train like MRT of Singapore.
See, I'm still wearing face mask. Kia Si?! No la, just because there is very dusty. I felt I'm at the KL Pudu Raya. A lot of bus and car.... very busy and crowded.
We were ahead to the Siam Paragon to find eat! We wish to taste the local stall but don't know which restaurant or stall is nice. And some more we did not see many restaurant around this area.

After our lunch, we visit nearest tourism place - Jim Thompson House. Just further a bit of Art and Culture Building which opposite of MBK. There is a small lorong... just go straight. Let's know about Jim Thompson, ok?
The Thai home of Jim Thompson, an American who was born in Greenville, Delaware, in 1906. A practicing architect prior to World War II, he volunteered for service in the U.S. Army. He was sent to Bangkok a short time later as a military officer and fell in love in Thailand. After leaving the service, he decided to return and live here permanently.
The hand weaving of silk, a long-neglected cottage industry, captured Thompson's attention. He contributed substantially to the industry's growth and to the worldwide recognition accorded to thai silk.
He gained further renown through the construction of this house combining 6 teak buildings. The houses were elevated a full story above the ground, a practical Thai precaution to avoid flooding during rainy season, and the roof tiles were fired in Ayudhya employing a design common centuries ago but rarely used today. The red paint on the outside walls is a preservative often found many old Thai buildings. The chandeliers were a concession to modern convenience, but even they belong to a past era, having come from 18th & 19th century Bangkok palaces.
On March 26th 1967, Jim Thompson disappeared while on a visit to the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia.

Huge sting ray... In front that is the souvenir shop.
Lotus & Orchid... nice combination...
What is this? This is vase... haha! Guard here warning me don't take photo... I'm not aware that here is no photo allowed... hehe... paise....
This is the walk way to the Thompson's house compound.
Down stair is the ticket counter. 100 Baht for a person. What we standing the up stair is the exhibition.
Here it is... Actually this is not so interesting for me... because is same like a Cheong Fat Tze Mansion and Rumah Peranakan (Bapa Nyonya House) in Penang.
After that, we ahead to MBK. This mall is look like Sugei Wang in KL. In this Mall, I just bought a very special small bag. Well, we also had our dinner in MBK.
Can see that 90% is the public transport on the road.
HUGE wood chair!!!... At the road side/in front of the Art & Culture building.
Ha, again... GIANT 'man' sitting there...
Comic look... funny bo?
Can see in front of the MBK there have a lot funny peoples wearing a funny clothe... let people take photo... actually is... Halloween is coming!
